We've all done our fair share of DIY during lockdown and it's safe to say that some projects have turned out better than others. However, this DIY grazing platter is something that you simply can't get wrong. The best thing about a grazing board is that you can make it personal, and there is no better time to get personal than on Valentines Day.
With us still not being able to treat our loved ones to a fancy meal out, this year is about being thoughtful! So put that microwave meal away, grab a plate and start filling with your valentines favourite fruits and snacks.
What to put on a grazing platter
A good place to start is the centrepiece. We opted for cheese and chose a luxury camembert to dip into. You can also swap this for dips such as hummus, salsa or sour cream depending on your style of platter.
Next you'll need something to dunk into that delicious centrepiece. Include crackers and bread if you're going for a cheeseboard theme or fresh veggies for other dips.
Now pick some fruit to add some colour and sweetness to your grazing board. We went for strawberries as it is Valentines Day after all.
Fill any gaps with nuts, olives, chutneys and any other snacks you enjoy.
The possibilities are endless! Almost all of the produce on our graze board is from Sharps so all you need to do is pop down to see us and your basket will be full in no time.
Whether you're nibbling at the table with a glass of wine or snuggling up on the sofa to watch your favourite romantic film, a grazing board is the perfect bite to share with that special person this Valentines. If you can't be with your friends and family this Valentines Day then why not share this post with them and arrange a grazing themed zoom night in.

Grazing board ingredient ideas
Mexican themed - choose a centrepiece of salsa, guacamole or sour cream. Dip in sweet peppers and tortilla chips. Garnish with jalapenos, avocado, olives and homemade pico de gallo. A squeeze of lime, a sprinkle of cilantro and you've got a Mexican feast.
Oh so sweet - choose Yorkshire honey or make chocolate fondue for your dip. Fill this board with all your favourite fruits. A selection of berries are a great option for dipping! Treat yourself to a creamy cranberry or apricot Wensleydale and garnish with dried fruits and nuts.
Local Yorkshire platter - choose our extra mature Yorkshire cheddar for the middle of this board. Pair with crackers and bread from your local bakery. Garnish with fruit of your choice and finish with a jar of Tomato Chilli Hendersons Relish chutney.
