QUARANTINE BREAKFAST SMOOTHIE BOWL

This breakfast bowl was inspired by over indulging on greasy breakfasts and cupboards full of Easter Eggs during isolation. Easy to make and delicious, it's everything I needed to kick start a healthy routine.


We love smoothie bowls because it makes a meal out of a snack and its full of goodness. You can tweak this recipe to your taste or use up whatever you've got left in the fridge, it works in so many ways. But we're here to give you the basics for a yummy wholesome breakfast. So what are you waiting for, grab the blender!

 

Prep Time: 5 minutes 
Total Time: 5 minutes
Servings: 1 

Ingredients 
For the smoothie bowl
1 large banana (Preferably frozen) 
375g strawberries 
50g blueberries 
75ml semi skimmed milk - Any milk alternative works well such as Almond, Soya etc.

For the toppings 
Be creative, but here's ours: 
2 strawberries thinly sliced
1/4 banana thinly sliced
Blueberries 
Pomegranate seeds 
Handful of granola 
 

Instructions

  1. Add frozen banana, strawberries, blueberries and milk into a blender.

  2. Blend until smooth and check consistency. If this is too thick for your liking just add more milk.

  3. Pour into your favourite breakfast bowl and add your toppings as desired.
